Goals for 2012

To use our elements of Effective Teacher Practice. To use our Professional Development resources in ways that will make the biggest difference in helping our people to meet their goals. This will build on the work started with Lane Clark in 2011 and will allow us to deepen our thinking and understanding of what makes our teachers so good.

Historic position:

Lane Clark worked with the teaching staff in 2011 and inspired some new learning as well as some new ways of looking at what we already know. Goal setting has always been central to our appraisal system and so it makes sense to have a consistent and shared framework for the setting of those goals.

How will we know we have been successful?

Teachers goals are directly related to our agreed and shared Elements of Effective Practice. Course, professional visits and learning are all directly related to individual goals.
