Reading is the cornerstone of learning and a vital part of the programme that we offer at Fendalton School. In the early years of school, the children move through the Ready to Read colour wheel scheme from Magenta to Gold. Once children have moved past the colour wheel, they are assessed against National Curriculum Levels for reading. As a rough guide, it is expected that by the end of year six, children should be working at Level 3 of the curriculum. Our Learning Reports highlight the progress that children are making through the levels and what their next steps are.
